April fish-in

I have managed to secure a Pike fish-in at Trenchford/Tottiford reservoirs on the 26th April 2009
There is only a limited amount of tickets available (20) so will be given on a first come first serve basis.
please e mail me if you are interested as i have to give the wardens exact numbers a soon as possible.
Tickets will be £5.50 each.

Welcome to the newly formed westcountry Allrounders Angling Club, Aimed to accommodate all aspects of this great pastime of ours.

With the collapse of Devon Region of the P.A.C of Gt Britain both Steve and I have been asked by regulars to those meetings to organize an alternative. After all, those winter evenings between October to March most of us are at a loose end for something to do, and as I have always said in the past it’s good to get together to talk fishing even if we can’t actually get out there and do it at this time of year.

Those regulars who have attended past meetings know it’s not just about Pike fishing, our members do it all, coarse, game, and sea fishing both here and abroad. We aim at every meeting to invite a guest speaker to give us a talk and a slide show.

We are very fortunate to have a huge selection of local experts who are prepared to give up their free time to help others desperate to learn. So please come along and give us a try.

Well that's the first year over and done with, and we would like to thank everyone that attended our meetings, and contributed to the gallery, and a special thank you for all the speakers that generously gave up their time in order to entertain us with there angling knowledge.
Would also like to thank the "Swans Nest" restaurant for the use of the room, the superb food and great hospitality.

We are always looking for guest speakers, so if you know anyone that would like to give a talk, or would like to give a talk yourself then please contact us.

We have a couple of speakers already lined up for next year,
John Chester, and Dominic Garnet, have already agreed to do talks for us. And we are busy working away to get more.

Many of you have asked about fish-ins during the summer period:

I am trying to organise a fish-in at the moment at Trenchford reservoir for sometime in April, Please contact us if you are intersted as I need to find out how many would like to fish.
It will be on a sunday, mid -late April.

A summer lure fish-in is definately on the cards. would like ideas etc about venues.

Also on the cards is a "Chew Lake day", fly fishing for Pike and Trout, once again please contact us if interested.

Another idea is to hire a few of the self drive boats at Beer, catch a few Mackeral one evening and finish up in a pub . Or just have a day/evening sea fishing somewhere.

Also if any of you have any ideas about fish-ins etc please get in touch.
